Mediation
Julie Sugano O’Reilly is a knowledgeable and experienced family law litigator. She has worked with low-income clients at Legal Aid in Oregon, as well as high net-worth clients in Seattle, has experience with financial issues spanning from income calculation to business/asset valuations, to real estate concerns, and has handled case types spanning the gamut, including but not limited to:
- Dissolutions with and without children (Divorces, Legal Separations, Committed Intimate Relationships)
- Establishment of Parenting Plan and Child Support
- Protection Orders of all types – domestic violence, sexual assault, vulnerable adult
- Modifications – Parenting Plan, Child Support, Spousal Support, Post-secondary
- Relocations
- Enforcement
- Parentage – Paternity, de Facto, Adoptions
Because family law often involves high emotions, mediation requires a deft hand in navigating complicated interpersonal dynamics, that Julie is both willing and able to provide. Julie is presently a volunteer mediator with the King County Volunteer Settlement Conference Program.
Every case is different, but requires knowledge of the law, direct communication between mediator and parties, out-of-the-box solutions, and firm reality-testing of agreed resolutions.
Julie works with both represented and unrepresented (pro se – or representing yourself) parties. Should parties be able to settle their case or parts of their case in mediation, a CR2A and/or final orders will be prepared in order to truly finalize your case. The time of drafting a CR2A and/or final orders may not be included in the flat rate, if the time of mediation has exceeded the block of time reserved.
Rates
- Flat rate for 4 hours of mediation + prep time = $1,200
- Flat rate for 8 hours of mediation + prep time = $2,400
- For time beyond the flat rate, Julie charges $300/hour
